IAHU Hosts Annual Legislative Reception

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The Indianapolis Association of Health Underwriters (IAHU) held its annual legislative reception at the Skyline Club in Indianapolis to meet with state legislators and discuss the association's goals for the current session of the General Assembly.

"IAHU was very pleased with the number of legislators in attendance and the discussions that took place aimed at achieving sensible and affordable health insurance for all Hoosiers," stated Mrs. Beth Pastotnik, vice-president of the Indianapolis Association of Health Underwriters.

One issue of importance discussed during the reception was pricing transparency to consumers and their families.  "In order to help people become better purchasers of health care, they must have the ability to understand the cost.  Transparency is a significant step towards that goal," added Pastotnik.

The mission of the Indianapolis Association of Health Underwriters is to improve its members' ability to meet the health, financial and retirement security needs of all Americans through education, advocacy and professional developments.

IAHU supports over 400 members, committed to sensible health care coverage, and will continue to push for meaningful health insurance that is affordable to everyone.  IAHU members adhere to the highest ethical standards of conduct in the industry.
