Indianapolis Association of Health Underwriters Elects New Officers

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The Indianapolis Association of Health Underwriters (IAHU), an organization of health insurance agents, and other health insurance professionals, installed its 2007-2008 Executive Board at its monthly meeting in Indianapolis.

Roger Fisher of Neace Lukens was installed as President of the Indianapolis Association of Health Underwriters. Roger has over 20 years experience in the health insurance industry and has been an active member of NAHU since 1999. He has held several positions on the Indianapolis Board and is currently an active agent in both the group and individual market.

"I'm thrilled to be heading this organization at a time when our members are becoming more critical to employers and consumers," said Mr. Fisher. "We help consumers obtain and use one of the most critical and personal services they own. When a spouse is sick or a child is in pain, it is the health plans we sell and service that cures the illness and eases the pain. Consumers now more than ever need our expertise in choosing the right plan. What we do simply can't be done by a website, a distant bureaucrat or government manual. Our focus over the next year will be not only to demonstrate this value but to enhance it."

"We're on the front line of health care and it is important that we make a big difference," added Mr. Fisher. “We will push for the passage of sensible health care reforms such as refundable tax credits which will help insure more Americans, we will help improve and spread the word about important coverage such as long-term care insurance, and we will fight mandates and other onerous legislation that make health insurance more expensive for everyone."
